Symbol Filtering

Visual Sidekick includes a very powerful search filter that allows you to quickly find the information you require.

Search all symbol types simultaneously. From a single filter string, search files, projects, folders, classes, namespaces and symbols.
Narrow the list of matching symbols in real-time, as you type.
Show symbols starting with a sub-string. Simply type the search criteria directly into the filter edit box.
Show symbols including a sub-string somewhere in their name. Type a leading space into the filter then type the text to find.
Show symbols matching multiple sub-strings. Type multiple search strings into the filter separated by spaces.
Show classes with members matching both class and member names. Type the class search string into the primary filter edit box, and type the method search string into the second filter box.
Narrow your symbols by filtering on name and namespace path. Separate the namespace search string and the symbol search string with :: or .
